The First Stroke: Why Plain Canvas Had to Happen

There is something inherently powerful about a blank slate. It’s an invitation. It’s the absence of noise. It’s the moment before the first mark is made.

When I founded Plain Canvas in the early months of 2026, I wasn’t just looking to start a shop. I was looking for my own blank slate. After years of dreaming about working for myself, the timing finally aligned with the ambition. I realized that "one day" had to become "day one."

I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of technology and wellness. As an entrepreneur starting from the ground up right here in Seguin, Texas, I saw a gap in the market. Too often, "healthy" and "good for you" products come with a luxury price tag that feels exclusionary.

Plain Canvas was built to change that narrative. My goal is to use modern tech—lean, efficient, and direct—to scout the globe for high-quality skincare and wellness tools, bringing them to you at prices that actually make sense. I’m putting every hour I have into vetting these finds, ensuring that what you put on your skin is as pure as the intent behind it.

This year isn't just about launching; it’s about building a foundation for a different kind of future. As I look toward the rest of 2026, my goals are written in ink:

Total Autonomy: Moving into full-time self-employment, where every decision is intentional and every success is shared with this community.

Expansion: This is just the beginning. I’m working toward a portfolio of businesses and digital spaces that all share the same "Plain Canvas" ethos of simplicity and integrity.

Education: I’m headed back to school. I believe that being a better student makes me a better founder, and I want to bring that fresh knowledge back into the products I curate for you.

The Circle: Most importantly, I want to give back. I’m a first-time founder. I know the hurdles. As Plain Canvas grows, I am committed to helping other aspiring entrepreneurs find their footing, providing the tools and encouragement I wished for when I started.

At the end of the day, I’m the curator, but you are the artist. Whether you’re here for a new skincare ritual or just a bit of inspiration for your own journey, thank you for being part of this "Draft 01."

Everything starts with a Plain Canvas. I can’t wait to see what we create together this year.

Stay Pure. Stay You.
